Yes, your Twitter default background page is good to get started with but there is a company called Twit Back that will set you up with other background choices at no cost!
By doing so, your Twitter sidebar (on the left) becomes a personal branding ad space for you.
It allows you to include to your blog, facebook page, phone number, short text ad, etc.
You should also include visible links to your other social networking sites like http://www.facebook.com/wallmann33
